MEET UNCLE HUSSIEN - THE STORY BEFORE AND AFTER AJL23 (based on RAP;METRO)

I read a newspaper about this brilliant Indie band, Meet Uncle Hussien, last week and there was interview with the band members of Meet Uncle Hussien. Wrote that after the Meet Uncle Hussien (MUH) ‘s victory on the most prestige stage of AJL23 maybe will make the MUH will become ‘arrogant’ and might cancelled an appointment last minutes was only the rumour make by a person who envy with the achievement of this Indie band. All the MUH’s band members came to meet the writer and do theirs’ responsibility, be open to the public for theirs’ latest news for all of the fans.

Although, Lan (vocalist) or his true name, Nor Azlan Roslee was experienced an accident and make him unable to walk, they managed to come and Lan was seen using a wheelchair helped by the others band members, Nik Mustaza (Taja), Mohd Fathi (Afat), and Mutafal Bakri (Bakri). Lan said that he experienced a kind of kidney problem and that make him cannot walk or stand if he had a rough day, tired. When the sickness occurs to the main vocalist of MUH, it also affected the performance of the band and show will cancelled if Lan was very sick and unable to sing. But, MUH will make all of their best for all that had supported them and gladly said that without all of their fan that always with them, MUH never be able to stand nowadays.

Rewind the stories when the MUH earlier formed, Lan said that MUH on that time was only the new band and they earned little when they performed. He said when they were paid RM300, that was the higher because they used to perform for free! On that time Lan and Taja was still studied when they started to create a new song using house-utensils, kitchen stuff (amazing!) at Taja’s rent house. Many things that had inspires them such as politics, the daily routine, even when they don’t have money (time sesak) can give them an idea to create a new sound, songs.

Afat said that when MUH had completed ten of theirs’ song, they tried their luck and sent the demo to records company, but there was no company that willing to publish the MUH’s first single ‘La, la, kerjalah’. Almost give-up, luckily then they was visited by the representative of KAMI production and interested to use MUH’s song for the KAMI the series. And on that time, MUH finally started theirs carrier as the musicians.
